We are in the preliminary stages of the Main Street Master Plan and

would like your input. Please join us for an information meeting with stakeholders and business owners in downtown Tupelo district.

Main Street Tupelo Project

About the project: The Downtown Enhancement Project consists of beautification and roadway enhancements proposed for the three block section of Main Street Tupelo between Front Street and Green Street. The enhancements include the following:

Beautification:- Reworking Pedestrian Crosswalks and Ramps
- Replanting Street Trees
- Replacing Street Lights to match those in the Fairpark District
- Resurfacing and Repairing Sidewalks

Roadway:
- Adding On-Street Parallel Parking
- Adding a Bicycle Lane that also serves as a Pedestrian Safe Zone between oncoming traffic and parked cars
- Narrowing the street to a 3-Lane Road Section, reducing from four through lanes to two and creating a Center Turn Lane

4 pm - Downtown Art Project Unveiling at Tupelo Hardware
7:30 pm - Birthday Concert @ The Lyric with UETA Winners Brandon Bennett and Bill Cherry with the EAS Band

January 8th
10 am - Unveiling of a special exhibit housed in the Welcome Center of the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau
1 pm - Birthday Party at the Elvis Presley Birthplace
2 - 4 pm Marty Stuart Book Signing at The Tupelo Automobile Museum
8 pm - Marty Stuart in concert at The Link Centre
